Here's where you can read what the people I've worked for have to say about my work.

First up is a letter from Deidre LaCasse, Line Producer of THE MIKE EPPS COMEDY SHOW.

To whom it may concern:

I strongly recommend Lisa Calhoun for the position of Location Manager for any production. Lisa was hired as a replacement, at the last minute on a television pilot called "The Mike Epps Comedy Show" which shot in Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

As our project expanded from a pilot into eight episodes, Lisa requested bringing on an assistant location manager and an additional scout. Lisa knew who to hire to fulfill the needs of this production and managed her team beautifully. She ran her department in a way that made my life as Line Producer much easier.

She's a go-getter, a good negotiator and she saved this production quite a bit of money. She's outgoing, poised and courteous with everyone. Both crew and property owners respected her straightforward honesty and tact. She got along famously with the entire crew and made herself available for tech scouts at our convenience.

Lisa made sure I was up-to-date on details of her job that were important to me and didn't bother me with those that weren't. As this production expanded, it was a test of her flexibility and she passed with flying colors.

Success of the project as a whole seemed important to Lisa, she went above and beyond the call of duty when it was needed. The head of the product placement department asked her to secure the use of a picture vehicle, which she did from a local dealership, delivered to the set at no cost to production. The art department asked her to help them out with a hard to find prop, which she also did. When the production ran longer than we had planned, our insurance had to be extended and had to be reissued to some of the vendors. Lisa agreed to reissue their insurance in addition to issuing riders to her property owners.

When Lisa was given various locations with last minute specifics from talent and executives I knew I didn't have to give it a second thought and that it was going to get done. Most importantly I knew that there would be no surprises when we showed up on location to shoot.

When the production was wrapping, Lisa turned in her paperwork on time, in perfect order, and reserved a duplicate copy for her files.

I was pleased to have her represent this production and I plan to bring her aboard on my up coming productions. She is my go to girl without a doubt!

Next up is W. H. Bourne of Lion Dance Films, the writer and co-director of SHAMAN'S MARK:

To whom it may concern,

I'm writing to recommend Lisa Calhoun for the position of location scout and/or location manager. Lisa has been a tremendous asset on Shaman's Mark doing everything from product placement to locations since 2005. In December 2007, we realized that we needed to shoot some additional footage for the film either at a hospital or in an ambulance. Due to budgetary issues resulting from Hurricane Katrina (we were still filming when the storm hit), we were in dire straits with little money to cover location costs. To complicate matters, I had a camera man and an actor with impossible schedules to coordinate. They finally agreed on a 6 hour time block on one set day. I had less than a week to coordinate my crew and my air travel so Lisa worked on locations, casting, and wardrobe. She worked miracles securing great actors who provided their own wardrobe, several ambulance companies as well as a hospital. The hospital administrator (who showed up at 5:30 on a Saturday morning!) was more than accommodating and gave us (virtually) free run of the location. And best of all the hospital cost us nothing  -- we provided the location a DVD so they could advertise the hospital for future film shoots in return for their services -- a fabulous win/win deal that was totally Lisa's brainchild. I think that she is a fabulous location scout or manager who can creatively navigate around challenges and limitations and find the best possible locations even if one is on a limited budget. I don't think you could find a more capable or competent person. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

I had been working in the film industry in New Orleans prior to Hurricane Katrina.  Afterwards, I took an office job with Fluor, one of FEMA's prime contactors, to do my part to help the victims.  Here's what my supervisor there had to say:

Please contact me to discuss your location scouting and location management needs.  Thank you.
